In late September, Singapore teams competed at the APBF Youth Bridge Teams Championships on Ocean Flower Island, Hainan. XMMBridge students represented Singapore in the U26 Women and U16 categories, and our CEO captained two teams at the event.
U31 Open: Singapore Crowned Champions
Our CEO served as non playing captain of Singapore’s U31 team, which included XMMBridge coach among its players. The team won the championship, beating Indonesia in the final by more than 100 IMPs. This is the first time Singapore has won the title in the U31 category.
U26 Women’s: Fourth Place and a Ticket to the World Stage
Our U26 Women’s team, made up of XMMBridge students, showed great composure under pressure. They won the final match when it mattered most, securing 4th place and a berth at next year’s World Youth Teams Championships. Their result matches Singapore’s best ever performance in this category. The team was led by our CEO as non playing captain.
U16 Open: A Historic Debut
For the first time ever, Singapore fielded a team in the U16 category, made up of XMMBridge students. In the U16 Pairs event, Allen Chen and Ethan Lin finished 4th overall, an outstanding result in their first appearance at this level.
Looking Ahead
We are proud of every player who represented Singapore in Hainan. Congratulations to our students, and thank you to the parents, coaches and supporters who made this journey possible.
